Professor Vogel is currently a Professor Emeritus at the Weizmann Institute of science serving as the Head of the Adelson Center for the Biology of Addictive Diseases at Tel-Aviv University. Professor Vogel previously served as the Chairman of the Department of Neurobiology at the Weizmann Institute. He has published more than 170 scientific manuscripts.
Professor Vogel earned a M.Sc in Biochemistry and a Ph.D. from the Weizmann Institute of Science. He performed his post-doctorate studies at the National Institutes of Health (Bethesda, MD) in the Laboratory of Marshall Nirenberg, a Nobel Prize winner.
